The Denver Broncos have re-signed defensive tackle Marcus Thomas on a one-year contract, as reported by The Denver Post. Thomas was drafted by the Broncos in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Broncos Add Two Tight Ends
The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms with former Carolina Panthers tight end Dante Rosario and former St. Louis Rams tight end Daniel Fells, as reported by ESPN‘s John Clayton via Twitter. “The Broncos reached agreement with two TEs _ Daniel Fells of the Rams and Dante Rosario of Car. Fells is expected to be the starter.” Rosario was drafted by the Panthers in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Broncos Restructure Dawkins Deal
Lost among the Kyle Orton trade drama and other news out of Denver was the completion of the restructuring contract deal for Denver Broncos safety Brian Dawkins, which took place Friday evening, as reported by the Denver Post. Details of the contract were not disclosed. Dawkins will be the starting strong safety for the team in 2011, and will help mentor rookie safety Rahim Moore, who is expected to start this year. Willis McGahee Signs With Broncos
It’s NOW official. Willis McGahee is a Denver Bronco. The former Ravens running back signed a 4-year, $10 million contract today. He will play a nice role in the running game as he adds depth and a solid third-down option alongside Knowshon Moreno. This Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET, NFL Network will air “Sharpe Focus: Journey to Canton.” In addition to this special, NFL Network will air a number of specials highlighting individuals in the 2011 Hall of Fame class. Hall of Fame induction ceremonies take place Saturday, August 6th in Canton, Ohio. Broncos Add WR Anderson
Former Houston Texans wide receiver David Anderson has agreed to terms with the Denver Broncos, as announced by John Elway via Twitter. “We agreed to terms with WR David Anderson from Houston. A great addition for us.” Anderson was selected by the Texans in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft. Christmas Time in July!
When I was growing up, the time from Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve seemed like eternity. As a young boy, it seemed like time even moved slower as Christmas Eve approached. The anticipation was nearly too much to handle. Surprisingly, that same feeling is what I feel now regarding the upcoming NFL season. Thanks to the owners and players agreeing on a new collective bargaining agreement at the beginning of this week, NFL fans will definitely have an NFL season.
