Garett Bolles, LT: $17,823,529

Garett Bolles has had a target on his back since becoming a first-round pick by the team in 2017. He’s been the butt of basically the same couple of jokes for years. Garett Holds, Oh there’s a penalty on the field? It must be holding by Garett Bolles.

Those jokes were getting stale. His play was stale. At some point, Broncos Country wanted him out. Bolles suffered a broken leg last season and missed 12 games due to it.

He’s been the talk of a potential big-time trade this offseason. I’m personally against that discussion unless we revamp the entire offensive line. Unless we do that, I want no part in trading Bolles. He’s our best offensive lineman right now. Boy, that’s saying something, right? Here’s the interesting thing: There’s no way I’d be open to moving on from him unless this team has a plan.

We’ve seen him struggle so much that when he finally made improvements recently, it was like a breath of fresh air.

It would be ideal if we could restructure Bolles a little bit to reduce his cap hit and be able to keep another player or two this offseason but I think that the restructure might not be enough to keep a guy such as Dre’Mont Jones around.
