Sure, Coach Shanahan. You’re absolutely right. The Broncos defense does not have a problem. Not at all. It was the offense’s fault that the Broncos lost their first game to the Chiefs. Okay, stop the sarcasm here, Kim.
Shanahan said that the Broncos’ offense put the defense in tough positions to stop a Kansas City score. He said,
“When you take a look at a game like that, people will point to the defense, and that is so far from the truth…There is a lot that goes into a football game, and everybody wants to throw it at the defense. Any offense that does that gives your [...]

Shanahan Blames The Offense
AFC West Breakdown: Week 4
(Kim Constantinesco writes for Predominantly Orange, which is FSB’s Denver Broncos blog. Representing the rest of the AFC West are Arrowhead Addict, Bolt Beat and Just Blog Baby.)
The AFC West was full of surprises this week as the Chiefs stunned the Broncos in Kansas City and the Raiders were actually within reach of beating the Chargers. It was a week full of story lines as the two best QB’s in the division combined to throw four interceptions, an old running back returned to his old form, a team broke a twelve game losing streak, and one team blew their lead in the fourth quarter (again). [...]
Why The Broncos Lost
It’s still early in the season and bad habits can be corrected, so don’t get too down on the Broncos right now. It’s tough playing Monday Morning Quarterback after a loss, but I’m going to tackle it. Here are 5 points that contributed to the Broncos loss yesterday:
1. Turnovers – when your top offensive studs (Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall, and Eddie Royal) combine for all four of your team’s turnovers, you’ve buried yourself alive in a six foot hole. It’s hard to climb out of that mess.
2. Defense – when your QB has arguably one of the most memorable hits of the game, you know your defense is [...]
Are The Denver Donkeys Back?
I just finished cleaning up. I vomited all over myself multiple times while watching the Broncos lose to the Chiefs today 19-33. My prediction of the final score was almost correct except the wrong team won. Tell me how a 3-0 team goes in to play an 0-3 team and gets drilled a new asshole in the process? How frustrating for Broncos fans. We didn’t even have a shot at Lady Luck coming our way again because the Chiefs simply beat the hell out of us. Personally, I think the Broncos played into the “Arrowhead curse” (13-34 at Arrowhead). Mike Shanahan said throughout the week that any team can [...]
Three reasons that help explain the Chiefs losing season:
1. Forget about coverage when you can dance like this:
2. Tank Tyler loves the classroom:
3. One way to get WR Dwayne Bowe into the endzone:
When I first saw the headline that John Elway was getting married to a former cheerleader I thought “how sweet.” As the Broncos best QB in history, I thought how fitting is was that he found happiness again with a former Broncos cheerleader. Much to my surprise, I learned that he crossed over. He’s marrying a former Raiders cheerleader. Was it Al Davis’ idea to set the two up in order to get revenge on the Broncos?
No, all joking aside, P.O. would like to send out a big congratulations to John and his future wife, Paige Green. The two met three years ago [...]
Broncos V. Chiefs Preview
The Broncos take on the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. After two close calls at home, Jay Cutler and the Broncos are excited to get on the road. Cutler says,
“Kind of glad we’re on the road this week, get a way from Mile High a little bit. You get on the road, and it’s kind of just us guys out there, battling against them” (Denver Post).
I’m excited to see the Broncos play away from Invesco. As an athlete, there’s nothing like having the crowd against you to motivate you to win…especially if it’s an angry Chiefs’ crowd! It will [...]
10 reasons why it’s better to be a Broncos’ fan than a Chiefs’ fan:
1. The Broncos are looking at how far they can play into January. The Chiefs, however, are already looking forward to next spring. Flowers bloom, the weather gets nice again, and with the draft, the Chiefs can be more productive than they are on any game day.
2. How many QBs does it take to get the Chiefs to 0-4? Three! Jeez, things really are ass-backwards in Missouri!
3. Rookies come into the NFL like little babies trying to take their first steps. The Broncos nurture their rookies…holding their hands through training camp until they’re ready for [...]
- Elvis Dumervil writes in his blog about Reggie Bush: “He was a lot better than I thought he was going to be.”
- Center Tom Nalen was placed on the injured reserve list ending his season with the Broncos. After 15 years in the league that could be the end of his career too. The team also waived safety Hamza Abdullah and signed Vernon Fox.
- What theme song do you think best represents the Broncos season so far? The Angry T thinks it’s John Denver’s Rocky Mountain High. They came up with songs for all 32 teams and I must say…they’re [...]
I know we’re playing the Chiefs this week, but how can you not post something like this showing just how frail the Oakland Raiders are right now. Reporter Tim Kawakami from the San Jose Mercury News exchanges words with Raiders’ official John Herrera at the end of a Lane Kiffin press conference. The whole confrontation begins with a question that Kawakami asked:
“Given that there are reports (that Kiffin earlier didn’t deny) that Raiders officials have told him he’s going to be fired, given that we all know a Raiders official distributed printed copies of an espn.com article critical of Kiffin, given that Kiffin [...]
