While Plaxico Burress was predicting a victory for the Giants (23-17 to be exact), former Broncos legend, Terrell Davis, was flying around Arizona in a Blue Angel FA-18 Hornet Aircraft. Here’s the video:

Belichick Got His Start with the Broncos

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos, NFL, News, Video | COMMENTS: None Yet

What if I told you that Patriots coach, Bill Belichick, got his big break from the Denver Broncos? According to the Denver Post, 30 years ago Belichick was unemployed, and trying to figure out what to do with his life at the age of 25. Fred Gehrke, former Broncos general manager, received a call from a friend at Navy who wanted his son to have a job. That friend was assistant coach, Steve Belichick, and his son, Bill, wanted to learn more about football. Gehrke asked head coach, Red Miller, to do him a favor and bring Belichick aboard. Forget about the $4 million a year that he [...]

Give Props to SuperBowl Chaos

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Breaking News, NFL, News, Off-Topic/Other | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

SuperBowl week has officially started. By this time next week, we will know if the Patriots succeeded in their quest for the perfect season, or if the Giants will be attending their victory parade in the streets of New York.
Either way, I can guarantee one thing; And that is the continuation of the senseless SuperBowl headlines that fill the airwaves. Forget about Tom Brady’s right foot. We all know that he’s playing. Forget about the dog that ate a pair of $900 SuperBowl tickets. His owner forgives him.
The reason why the SuperBowl is so big is that it attracts non-football fans to the game. Whether the [...]

Dog Gets Dyed Blue For the Giants SuperBowl Run

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Breaking News, NFL, News | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

Earlier this week, PO featured a die hard Patriots fan that tattooed Tom Brady’s helmet onto his skull. Well, it turns out Giants fans are just as crazy.
WNYW in New York is holding the “How True Blue Are You Contest?” contest in support of the Giants SuperBowl appearance. Sopranos star, Joe Gannascoli, dyed his dog blue to show his “true colors.”
As for the dog’s SuperBowl plans, she intends to walk around the SuperBowl party begging for nachos and wings. Then, she will bury her head under the couch, conveniently leaving her ass exposed as people comment on how cute she is and “what a true fan she [...]

1997 SuperBowl Champions: Where are They Now?

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos, NFL, News | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

Going without NFL football for the first weekend in four months is kind of like the first weekend after you end a two year relationship with your significant other. You’ve got a lot of nervous energy and you don’t exactly know what to do with yourself. Good thing we have the grand finale in a week. After the SuperBowl is the true test.
Speaking of the SuperBowl, it’s been 10 years since the Broncos were crowned SuperBowl Champions of 1997. If you are curious as to what former SuperBowl champs are up to these days, the Denver Post has a great feature that explores what players such as Mark Schlereth, Glen Cadrez, and Gary [...]

Die Hard Patriots Fan Shows His Love in an Odd Way

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos, NFL, Video | COMMENTS: None Yet

We know that NFL fans can be crazy. A guy with his team’s colors painted on his belly is not unusual. Getting to the stadium five hours before kickoff just to grill some brats happens every Sunday around the country. There are even these die hard Packers fans who brought out their bikinis in the -3 degree Green Bay weather:

But, how about this Patriots fan tattooing Tom Brady’s helmet on his head. Did he take it too far or should he also begin plans to have Manny Ramirez’s dreadlocks and Kevin Garnett’s face tattooed somewhere on his body?

Hixon Could Not Have Predicted a SuperBowl Appearance in His Future

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos, NFL | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

Domenik Hixon is going to the SuperBowl this year. Why is that so unusual? Well, he played for the Broncos this season.
The former Broncos kick and punt returner had a very rough start to the season. He was the player that was involved in Kevin Everett’s (Buffalo Bills) severe neck injury, and then he was cut after the fourth game of the season. The New York Giants signed Hixon, and after his team clinched a spot in the playoffs in Buffalo, he had the opportunity to meet Everett. Hixon said that the incident was on his mind all the time, and [...]

Predictions and Analysis of Sunday’s Games

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Gameday, NFL | COMMENTS: None Yet

New England over San Diego: This pick is a no brainer. Unless Philip Rivers magically inherits some of Tom Brady’s arm and sense of the game, the Chargers will have to overcome an insurmountable deficit by halftime. Even though the media has tried to convince everyone that it will be a good match-up by playing up the Chargers trash talking, the game itself will be a joke. Although the Chargers defense has improved over the last 8 weeks giving up an average of 13.1 points per game, they have not played the Patriots at Foxboro recently. The Pats will not compromise their perfect [...]

More Coaching Changes in Denver

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos, NFL | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

Vince Young is a lucky guy, and teams in the NFL should look out for the Titans next year. Mike Heimerdinger, Denver’s assistant coach for the passing game is leaving the Broncos to become the offensive coordinator for the Titans. Although leaving good friend, Mike Shanahan, will be difficult for Heimerdinger, he wanted to take complete charge of an offense. (In Denver, Shanahan has the final call on the offense). Heimerdinger looks forward to working with Jeff Fisher and the entire Tennessee organization.
Jeremy Bates, 31, son of former Broncos assistant defensive coach, Jim Bates, will have his role expanded next season. In 2007, he coached the QB’s and the receivers. Shanahan will [...]

Rivers Shouldn’t Open His Mouth to Brady

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos, NFL | COMMENTS: None Yet

Remember the trash talking that took place on Christmas Eve? You know, when you wanted to throw a wrapped present at your T.V. screen hoping to hit Philip River in his empty head? If not, here is the clip:

Unless you are Tom Brady, you should not be running your mouth like that. Because Rivers and Brady are going head to head, I’m going to compare the two QB’s on many levels. As you can see, Rivers better put a sock in it because he’s not going up against Jay Cutler this weekend.
1. SuperBowl Wins:
Brady: 3
Rivers: 0
2. 2007 TD to INT ratio:
Brady: 50:8
Rivers: 21:15
3. [...]
