Justin Simmons, S

Once again, Justin Simmons put on display why he deserves a new contract. In a game where the secondary was depleted by injury, it was on Justin Simmons to step up to the plate, and step up, he did.

Simmons picked off Matt Ryan when the Broncos needed a momentum swing the most.

Unfortunately, the Broncos were not able to capitalize on Simmons’ huge play, but at the very least, it had prevented what easily could have been at Atlanta touchdown. You could even say that the Simmons interception even started the early stages of the Broncos’ comeback.

Each week, we could talk about what Justin Simmons means to this team and to this defense. Each week, we could talk about how Simmons needs to be extended by the Broncos, and that the franchise would be foolish to let him walk away.

So, we will.

Pay the man!
