Adam Gotsis

With Malik Jackson off to London, the Broncos focused their second round on Gotsis, the Australian-born 300 pounder who claims to be a rocked up 300 pound man. Most guys don’t carry 300 pounds very well if that’s how far they’re tipping the scales, but Gotsis is an imposing 6-4, 300 pounds with very little body fat and long arms.

He has a nasty disposition and plays with quickness, but he’s obviously still fairly new to the game of football. That’s not a problem, as the Broncos have the best defensive coaching in the entire NFL between Gotsis’ position coach Bill Kollar and defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, a mastermind of putting together the game plan.

Gotsis has enough athleticism to step in and be a starter right away opposite Derek Wolfe and in rotation with guys like Vance Walker. The Broncos have plenty of depth to use Gotsis on 50 percent of the snaps if they want, but I think as a rusher he’s going to be a force from the start.
