Broncos Update This Spooky Night

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

I don’t know what to be more scared of: The Broncos possibility of losing a game in Detroit or the ghosts and goblins coming to my door tonight. I guess I’ll worry about that later. For now, here are some updates:
Former Detroit Lion, Dre’ Bly is not feeling any added pressure about Sunday’s game against his former team. Even though Favre’s pass got past Bly on Monday, I still have confidence in his game.
John Lynch did not practice today. He suffered a pinched nerve on Monday and is waiting for MRI results to determine his status.
DB, Domonique Foxworth, thinks that the defense has made tremendous [...]

The Blues Continue in Denver

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

With baseball season ending right here in Denver on Sunday night, Colorado sports fans have had a rough week. We had hoped for a little pick-me-up with a Broncos win last night, but things just aren’t going our way.
It looks like I had too much confidence in my beloved Donkey’s during my interview with USAToday.com. I really thought that with the win over Pittsburgh in week 7, we could handle Green Bay at home in week 8. With an 82 yard bomb thrown by Brett Favre on the first play in overtime, our end of the game star, Jason Elam, didn’t even have [...]

Who Has the Best Smelling Poo?

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

Monday Night’s Football game will be billed as a battle of Favre versus the potent Broncos running attack or some such creation by the staff at NBC, but these things can only be thrilling for say, a decade or so before they’ve run their course. Lest I remind Packers fans that the it was the Broncos who, 10 seasons ago, ruined Favre’s chance to be the greatest quarterback ever and establish a dynasty for the Packers. You knew I’d bring it up.
Rather than watch Favre sling it out against an aging and injured Denver secondary, all eyes should [...]

10/25 Broncos Update

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

Big news from Broncos country: Rod Smith is back at practice. For a look at just how important he is to this team, read Jim Saccomano’s article. Just a reminder – Smith was an undrafted wide receiver.
Some injury notes from Mason’s Morsels as of Wednesday:
Running back Travis Henry did not take part in Wednesday’s session because of bruised ribs. “Travis is a little sore right now,” Head Coach Mike Shanahan said.
Cornerback Champ Bailey was in uniform Wednesday, but his participation was limited. Bailey sat out last Sunday’s game against Pittsburgh and missed all of the practices on the Wednesday and Thursday leading up to the game [...]

Legal Trouble for the Broncos and Drinking Games for the Packers

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

It looks like there are more legal problems surrounding Broncos‘ players. The latest wrong-doer is our leading receiver from last week’s game and DUI recipient, Brandon Marshall. Apparently Marshall was celebrating his Sunday night performance with a few drinks after the game. His field sobriety test was obviously not as successful as his performance on the football field (Denver Post).
“For all the justified hoopla surrounding Michael Vick and Pacman Jones, drunk driving accounts for one-third of all arrests among NFL players.” (FanHouse).
As far as this week’s game is concerned, I hope that the Packers keep partying with SI.com reporter, Brigid Mullen:

Tribute to Fallen Teammates: Broncos Win

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

How about that huge win in Denver last night? The night was dedicated to former Broncos players, Darrent Williams and Damien Nash who were both killed in separate accidents last winter. It was evident that the Broncos were playing for someone.
I’ll take the Broncos relying on Jason Elam at the end of the game any time. Denver fans calling into the local radio stations this morning were also happy with the win, but said that they were tired of having to rely on Elam’s kicks. Well, I have a problem with the opinions of these fans because it was Jay Cutler (22-29, 248 yards, and 3 TDs) and our defense (caused 3 turnovers) [...]

Today’s News About the Broncos

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Breaking News, Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

I’m not the only one referring people to the Rockies when analyzing the Broncos. Michael Silver is doing it too.
I hope there’s something in the water in Houston. We need Javon Walker as soon as possible. See details about his surgery.
Sunday’s game provides us with another rematch between former Georgia teammantes,Champ Bailey and Hines Ward.
Former Bronco QB, Jake Plummer, is now competing in the U.S. Open Handball competition. No Joke!
