Week 3's Sunday Night Football showdown between the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams might end up being a preview for Super Bowl LXI next February, as the Broncos and Rams were both losers in the conference championship games a year ago but added key talent to take that next step.

Both teams come into this game with one blowout loss and one bounceback loss, both coming in Week 1 and 2, respectively. Denver and LA are, arguably, the two most talented teams in the sport when you consider top-end talent and overall roster depth.

Injury News

Even with J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey returning, the Broncos will not have Jonah Coleman, and wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. is questionable:

Coleman finished the game in Week 2 for the Broncos, as Harvey didn't play last week, and Dobbins left with a hip injury. As for the Rams, Puka Nacua and Kam Kinchens are both doubtful. Tight end Colby Parkinson is questionable, but is trending toward playing:

The Rams have Myles Garrett on injured reserve, so he won't suit up in this one.

The storylines may honesly be the injuries, as Nacua and Garrett are out for the Rams. Those two All-Pro-caliber players are crucial to the team's success this year. In a more broad sense, though, the Broncos and Rams are two teams capable of winning it all this year, and when the national broadcast begins, they'll surely talk about how this can be a Super Bowl LXI teaser.

Prediction

In our bold predictions for this game a couple of days ago, we laid out why we think this game is going to go in the Broncos favor, and we're going to stick with that here. The Broncos are undefeated against NFC opponents at home in the Bo Nix era, and have also lost just three home games since the start of the 2024 season.

While the Rams are supremely talented, the Broncos are also nearly impossible to beat in front of the Mile High crowd. Not havng Nacua and Garrett in this game is a brutal blow for the Rams as well, as those are two of their top-3 players.
