The Denver Broncos have a huge task on their hands in Week 3, as the Los Angeles Rams come to town. While the Rams got blown out in Week 1, they got back on track in Week 2, which is the same as the Broncos.
Both Denver and Los Angeles lost in the conference championship games last year, and it's not a stretch to think that Week 3 on Sunday Night Football could be a teaser for Super Bowl LXI. Denver will need to be at their best in this one, as the Rams are the most talented team in the sport.

Broncos defense holds Davante Adams to under 60 yards
Davante Adams had just 26 receiving yards in Week 1, but he exploded for 195 in Week 2. With Puka Nacua not trending to play in this game, the Rams passing attack will have to go through Adams. While the future Hall of Fame receiver turns 34 years old later this year, he's still among the best route-runners in the NFL.
The Broncos, on the other hand, have allowed 172 and 173 passing yards through two weeks, so the secondary has already stepped up. With the Rams only having one threatening receiver if Nacua doesn't play, I would struggle to see how Adams isn't someone the Broncos simply look to eliminate from the game.
Patrick Surtain II is likely going to follow Adams on SNF, and the Bronos could even use some safeties over the top for extra help. Denver's personnel on the backend of the defense is currently stronger than the Rams pass-catchers.
Broncos run for a season-high total
The San Francisco 49ers ran for 174 yards on the Rams defense in Week 1, and Myles Garrett is still on IR and won't suit up for this matchup. As for the Broncos, while the run game has not been great thus far, the team ran for just 64 yards in Week 1, but increased that total to 104 in Week 2.
Denver is on the right track here, and with both J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey practicing in full on Thursday, the Broncos will get a major restock in the running back room. The Broncos will have to control this game on the ground to keep Matthew Stafford and the Rams offense off the field, as even without Nacua, this unit can be deadly.
Look for Denver to again prioritize the ground game, perhaps hitting 130 rushing yards.
Broncos win by a field goal
Even if the Broncos play their best, most efficient game of the season thus far, it might only lead to a small victory. The Rams are ridiculously talented and were good enough to win the Super Bowl last year. Denver also is in one-score games more times than not, so this might end up being destiny.
With the Broncos being at home and the team coming off a bounce back performance in Week 2, our last bold prediction is that Denver finds a way to win by a slim margin... again.
