The Denver Broncos are now 2-2 for the third year in a row, and in 2024 and 2025, the team finished strong after a shaky .500 start. In 2024, the Broncos went 8-5 the rest of the way, and in 2025, the team went 12-1.

If this trend holds, the Broncos should win 10 of their remaining 13 games, but as we have seen, nothing is promised in the NFL, and if the offense continues to play as it has across the first month, Denver won't make the playoffs, period.

With five more games before the bye, which comes in Week 10, let's predict how the team performs in each game.

Denver Broncos have a chance to give their record some breathing room before the bye

Week 5 @ Los Angeles Chargers

Fortunately for the Broncos, this once-tough matchup now looks like anything but, as there is a real chance that the 0-4 Los Angeles Chargers will be without Rashawn Slater, Joe Alt, Derwin James, and Ladd McConkey in Week 5, and we haven't even mentioned the slew of other injuries they're dealing with.

Not only is the team banged up, but the roster wasn't that great to begin with, and the coaching fit with new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel just has not been there. While this is a divisional game, and anything can happen, this team is among the worst in football and dealing with a ton of injuries. Denver can and will win this one.

Prediction: Broncos win 24-16 (3-2)

Week 6 vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Broncos return home on a short week in Week 6, playing the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. For reference as to how this game could go, the Broncos were able to beat Jacksonville and the Los Angeles Rams at home with second-half comebacks, and I believe we could easily argue that the Seahawks starting quarterback, Sam Darnold, isn't quite as good as Trevor Lawrence or Matthew Stafford.

I could also argue that the team won't be able to run the ball well, as they're dealing with backfield injuries and obviously let Kenneth Walker III depart in free agency. The one thing that does worry me is the team's secondary figuring out how to contain Jaxon Smith-Njigba, their All-World wide receiver.

Given that this game is at home, the Broncos have the advantage, but Seattle's punishing defensive line is going to prove to be too much for the Denver offensive line, a unit that has regressed this year.

Prediction: Seahawks win 23-21 (3-3)

Week 7 @ Arizona Cardinals

Now at 3-3 in our predictions, a nice winning streak heading into the bye would be neat. The team travels to Arizona to face the Cardinals, one of the worst teams in the sport. The Cardinals do have some slick offensive talent in Michael Wilson, Jeremiyah Love, and Trey McBride, but they struggle at the QB position and also have a flat-out bad defense.

Moreover, the coaching staff, let by Mike LaFleur, is in their first year together. This is a team right in the heart of a rebuild, so the Broncos should be able to overwhelm them with their roster talent and coaching experience.

Prediction: Broncos win 27-17 (4-3)

Week 8 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

The Broncos have beaten the Kansas City Chiefs at home each year of the Sean Payton era, so why can't they do it again? This game could have a playoff feel to it, as last year's Broncos-Chiefs matchup in Denver absolutely did.

Given what has transpired this year for the Chiefs, the key is going to be to slow down Walker somehow. He's arguably been the MVP of the league this year, but outside of Walker, the Chiefs don't sport overwhelming talent with the rest of their offensive unit.

This is likely going to be a low-scoring, back-and-forth game, as that's typically what we have seen in the Bo Nix-Payton era Broncos/Chiefs matchups.

Given that the Broncos have figured out the formula to beat KC at home, I don't see why it can't happen again.

Prediction: Broncos win 20-19 (5-3)

Week 9 @ Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers are a frisky team with a good offense but a bad defense. Bryce Young has played his tail off this year, but he's also done that against some struggling defenses. Carolina's offensive line is banged up of note, so that could present an opportunity for the pass rush to get going if that unit is still in a similar state when November 8th rolls around.

Denver may have to avoid a shootout here, and this team does bring in a roster and coaching advantage. Despite the Panthers having won the division last year and having started out well on offense, the team is just 10-11 since the start of 2025.

They're still a mediocre team overall. The Broncos should win this one and enter the bye with a 6-3 record.

Prediction: Broncos win 23-21 (6-3)
