Denver Broncos on the hot seat in 2023
2. Jerry Jeudy, WR

Jerry Jeudy's first two seasons in the NFL were not looking super encouraging for the former first round pick and elite talent out of Alabama. However, there was a clear stride made by Jeudy in 2022, and his torrid end to the season left him just shy of his first 1,000-yard receiving season.

He is now very clearly the top choice in the passing game for Russell Wilson and is the most talented player on the offensive side of the ball. A decision will have to be made on his fifth year option soon, and whether the team picks it up or declines it, Jeudy needs to be able to truly step into the WR1 role in 2023 and build on his 2022 season.

This could be a contract extension year in 2023 for Jeudy, and it does seem like he's in a very encouraging situation. I do not think Russell Wilson is broken, and the offensive genius of Sean Payton cannot be disputed.

With Jeudy being the most talented player on the offense, if he cannot continue that type of mismatching and production in 2023, I think Denver could either look to trade the player if his option is picked up or even let him hit free agency next season if the option is declined.
