Broncos won't be able to hide Pat Bryant much longer after latest camp practice

The Denver Broncos have kept the training camp ball rolling. On Thursday, the pads came off and it was a bit of a lighter practice. After being in pads for days prior, a non-padded practice was needed. Denver does tend to have tougher practices than other teams, but you can't overdo it.

Anyway, much of the chatter of camp thus far has been the defensive line, as it seems like that group is going to be insanely deep and lethal once again. Furthermore, the wide receiver room has again been making some noise.

And, yet again, second-year wide receiver Pat Bryant is feasting. It's now to the point where if the Broncos had hoped he flew under the radar this year, that hope has gone right out the window.

Here are multiple perspectives from Luca Evans, Zac Stevens, anc Cody Roark on Bryant and his performance during Thursday's camp. Sure, it's just camp, but this has become a nearly daily thing for the second-year wide receiver thus far:

We've talked about Bryant frequently over the past few days, but it's worth keeping that chatter up. Where Bryant really becomes an interesting player is what he excels at. He's got as reliable hands as anyone on the roster, especially in traffic, so his being able to work the middle of the field, which is an area of the field Bo Nix has to attack more, is going to be huge in 2026 and beyond.

But he also has a solid frame at 6-2 and 205 pounds. That size advantage is present with most opposing defensive backs. He also did improve each year at college and was getting significant snaps down the stretch. Not only that, but he's got the run blocking chops as well and is honestly someone who appears to be able to do a bit of everything.

This isn't going to guarantee success in 2026, but his practices will be a huge indicator of coming success. While the Broncos obviously don't have an official WR1, WR2, and WR3, it's clear that Jaylen Waddle and Courtland Sutton are the top two players in this room, and if the momentum holds, Bryant is going to be that third player.

The 2025 season would tell us that Troy Franklin is in line for that de-facto WR3 role, but Bryant has simply been standing out more. With the Broncos offense, much of the attention is rightfully going to be on Waddle, Sutton, Nix, and even Davis Webb, who is calling the plays.

Bryant's strong training camp thus far is going to make him impossible to ignore and the Broncos worst-kept secret.
