It's almost crazy to think how much the Broncos have won this year. They are now winners of eight games in a row and go into their Week 12 by atop the AFC West and atop the conference as well. They will again have the best record in the league and can now focus on getting healthy.
The time away from football is surely going to help as well. The Broncos next play on Sunday Night Football on November 30th against the Washington Commanders, so they have two weeks to regroup before the final six games of the 2025 NFL Season.
At this point, Denver may only have to won one of its final six games to make the playoffs, but there is reason to believe they can win at least half of their remaining games, and that could be enough for the AFC West title this year. Well, with this win over the Chiefs in Week 11, they Broncos just did something they have not done in nearly a decade.
Broncos have clinched back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2015 and 2016
The Broncos have now clinched a winning season in two-straight years for the first time since the Gary Kubiak era back in the 2015 and 2026 seasons. Kubiak, in his 32 regular season games, went 21-11, winning 12 games in 2015 and the Super Bowl, and winning nine games in 2016, but missing the postseason.
Denver finishing with 10 wins back in 2024 stopped the streak, but now the streak is back alive. Bo Nix now moves to 19-9 across his first 28 games in the NFL and is on pace to again be in the playoffs. At this rate, the Broncos are now realistically in a position to finish with the top seed in the AFC.
The hope is that Indianapolis and New England both slip-up, which is possible. Denver also has some extremely winnable games left on the schedule and should greatly benefit from the bye, as players like Alex Singleton, Patrick Surtain II, and even Ben Powers could return.
Now 9-2, Denver appears to be plenty good enough to win a playoff game this year and could make a deep run if they end up hosting multiple games in Denver. This team is absolutely a Super Bowl squad and have the most important things working to make such a run here in 2025.
