The Denver Broncos have a great shot at making up some notable ground in the AFC West with a huge win in Week 4. Denver has a huge, must-win game in Week 4; they lost the limp Cincinnati Bengals, a team coming off of a 38-point loss at the hands of the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings aren't anything special, so a 38-point loss is something to take note of. Now that Joe Burrow has been out of the mix for a week or so now, the Broncos have known that they are facing Jake Browning, the Bengals' backup QB.

On paper, this should be one of those blowout home wins that the Broncos have been so good at since the start of the 2024 NFL Season. Furthermore, the AFC West's performances today give Denver yet another reason to get to 2-2.

Chargers and Raiders losses set the stage for the Denver Broncos in Week 4

Both the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers honestly looked horrific in Week 4. Both teams lost; the Chargers lost the first start of the Jaxson Dart era, dropping a really bad one against the Giants, and the Raiders lost on what turned out to be a game-winning blocked field goal by the Chicago Bears.

Geno Smith threw another three interceptions and already has seven on the season. Justin Herbert had another bad game, throwing for two interceptions against the Giants' defense. Right now, the Chargers lead the way with a 3-1 record. The Kansas City Chiefs are now 2-2 after their Week 4 win, and the Denver Broncos are right there at 1-2.

The Raiders bring up the rear with a 1-3 record, having lost three games in a row. It's easy to see just how important this Week 4 game is for the Denver Broncos - the Bengals are a weak team and are likely set to go on a long losing streak. The Broncos do have a history of beating up on bad teams at home, so this is something that simply has to happen.

With the Chargers having major offensive line issues and the Chiefs not being a great team on either side of the ball, the AFC West might truly come down to the final few weeks of the 2025 NFL Season, and the Broncos need to take care of business against a vulnerable squad. Simply put, this is a massive, must-win game for the franchise.
