Former Denver Broncos player no. 4: DeMarcus Walker, DL, Tennessee Titans

DeMarcus Walker was an outstanding pass rusher at the collegiate level whose NFL career was, unfortunately, derailed very early on by Vance Joseph and his staff when they made Walker change positions early on.

The Broncos were struggling for bodies at the outside linebacker position and took an interior defensive lineman and tried to move him out there.

Then, for whatever reasons, Walker got himself into Vance Joseph’s proverbial “doghouse” and he played sparingly early on in his career.

When Walker did get the chance to play, he was typically a productive pass rusher but he could never carve out a full-time role in Denver.

He played a rather substantial role last year with the Houston Texans, and that opportunity turned into another contract with another AFC South team in 2022.

Walker will be playing for the Tennessee Titans this coming season, joining Mike Vrabel’s defense and the top-seeded team in the AFC last season.

Walker is coming off of a solid season with the Texans in which he set a new career-high with seven quarterback hits.
