Projecting Denver Broncos starting offense in 2022

Wide receivers – Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, Jerry Jeudy

Since Denver is expected to run predominantly 11 personnel, we can expect to have three receivers on the field roughly 60% of the time, if the rate in which Green Bay ran 11 personnel with Nathaniel Hackett stays about the same for Denver.

I love this so much.  Denver might just have the best trio of wide receivers in the entire NFL, and they will finally get their chance to shine.

Russell Wilson has never had this deep of a room before, nor an offensive minded head coach, so the potential here is crazy.

We know that Courtland Sutton is a Pro Bowl, 1,000 yard receiver.  We’ve seen Tim Patrick produce in clutch moments, and we have seen Jerry Jeudy, yes, that player, produce at a high level.  Let’s not forget, he had 850 receiving yards his rookie season with the 2020 version of Drew Lock.

So I would caution fans to temper expectations a bit as a pertains to yardage output.  Since Denver has so many weapons, we probably won’t see, for example, Courtland Sutton eclipse 1,500 receiving yards.

That would be awesome if he did, but I think we’re more likely to see a couple players around 1,000-1,100 receiving yards, and perhaps someone like Tim Patrick with 700-ish yards.

Wilson will distribute the ball adequately and get everyone involved.  I am most excited to see the receivers in action.
