Although some former Denver Broncos players have already signed with other teams, which ones are still looking for new homes in 2022?

The Denver Broncos have had a number of free agents coming and going in the 2022 NFL offseason, but there are a handful of players that many figured would sign much quicker than they have.

In fact, the way things are shaping up right now, it looks like there could be an unprecedented number of players signed shortly before or right after the 2022 NFL Draft depending on how quickly news trickles in over the next three weeks.

With just three weeks to go before the 2022 NFL Draft, there are still some big-name free agents available, a few of which are former Denver Broncos players.

Denver Broncos still have plenty of players without a new team for 2022

Which Broncos players are still looking for work for the 2022 season and beyond? Let’s take a look at five bigger names still on the market.

1. Melvin Gordon, Running Back

Although Melvin Gordon did struggle with some fumble issues over the last couple of seasons with the Denver Broncos, he was also probably the team’s most consistently good offensive player from 2020-21 as well.

Gordon was able to put together multiple seasons for the Broncos with over 1,000 yards from scrimmage and a total of 20 touchdowns. Was he a Pro Bowl running back with the Broncos? No, but he was a solid player and other running backs have been getting gigs elsewhere this offseason.

Perhaps Gordon has put too high of a price tag next to his name, and is just holding out for the best opportunity. With that being said, as we get closer to the NFL Draft, teams become very comfortable with their running back situations and Gordon is entering the realm where he might have to wait for someone’s starter to get hurt before signing.
