The case for the Denver Broncos trading for Aaron Rodgers

The team many believe will acquire Aaron Rodgers is the Denver Broncos. The Broncos are boasting a team that is strictly a quarterback away. It’s been a tiring time watching this team struggle to get over that hurdle in finding their next piece. Rodgers would bring the Broncos something the Raiders in the division cannot: A Super Bowl team.

First, the Denver Broncos had a Hall of Fame quarterback fairly recently join the team in 2012 and appear in multiple Super Bowls. Like Manning, Rodgers is getting a reputation he just can’t get over the hump from the regular season to the playoffs. The fact is, any team would be thrilled with the addition of Rodgers. For the Denver Broncos, the roster is darn near complete already from top to bottom.

Wide receivers Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick signed an extension to stay with the Denver Broncos. It’d be a hard sell to trade a player who signed for less than market value. It’s also possible General Manager George Paton mentioned the scenario of acquiring a star quarterback in Denver. This means they probably are off the table.

Jerry Jeudy is another player who seems to be off the table as well. Tight ends are a flexible piece that can be added but depends on the interest from the Packers. More importantly, the Denver Broncos have the draft capital to make Rodgers work and additional moves after that.

Denver’s expected room currently stands at around 48 million dollars. This has boosted the possibility the Broncos will not just inquire about Rodgers, but Adams as well. Adams and Rodgers have a friendship that could bring them to Denver.

The offensive line is around the middle pack of the NFL for the Broncos. Broncos like some in this list don’t have a great offensive line, but the beautiful thing about Rodgers is he can make up for deficiencies of the line. Sound familiar Broncos Country?

It would be a surprise to see Rodgers not have the Broncos on his list of teams.
