Denver Broncos have competition from Raiders for Rodgers

Derek Carr is a franchise quarterback. So, what gives? It seems Carr might be on thin ice with a new general manager and new head coach set to come in. This bodes the question of whether the team would be interested in a quarterback of the likes of Rodgers. Rodgers brings forth energy for a Raiders team who would be desperate to put them in competition for the AFC West title.

Carr has shown he can be that guy who leads a team to the playoffs. Rodgers could give them more. The offensive needs a lot of work along with the wide receiver corps. However, there’s intrigue with players like Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow.

Renfrow established quite the relationship with Carr becoming one of the better slot receivers in the NFL. Waller meanwhile might be the best right end in the NFL. If Waller has Rodgers, then Waller could become a 1,200-yard receiving total weapon.

The other factor is Josh Jacobs. Despite a long injury history Jacobs still shows he’s one of the better playmaking backs in the NFL and gets stronger as games wear on.

Defensively is where this team is missing something to be a truly complete team. The Raiders are not exactly bringing a defense that strikes fear in an opponent. Minus Maxx Crosby.

They’ve been susceptible to allowing big plays and undisciplined penalties. An undisciplined team may not be the best appeal for Rodgers.
