Edge Rusher Depth

The Broncos could certainly use some more help at pass rusher. They lost Attaochu in free agency recently, and aside from starters Von Miller and Bradley Chubb, they don’t have too much else.

Malik Reed did come into his own in 2020 in place of Miller, but he’s one guy. You can never have too many pass rushers.

It would not surprise me if they went edge rusher early in the 2021 draft. Guys such as Gregory Rousseau, Azeez Ojulari, Kwity Paye, Joseph Ossai, Jayson Oweh, and Jaelan Phillips are guys that are expected to go quite early in the draft.

Vic Fangio’s defense does not give the responsibility of pass-rushing to one or two guys. It allows multiple players to make an impact in the backfield during games.

It will also be important to look at the future. Miller is not getting any younger and the Broncos have been rumored to be looking for his eventual successor. Chubb tore his ACL in 2019, and you know how those types of injuries work: sometimes guys just don’t come back the same as they were pre-injury.

Can I interest you in a guy like Melvin Ingram?
