Patrick Peterson

Now in his 10th season with the Arizona  Cardinals, Patrick Peterson would be a fun name to consider and arguably the most intriguing on this list.

There have long been rumors of Peterson leaving the desert, but the Cardinals’ front office has never been interested enough in moving him. This offseason, as an unrestricted free agent, he could move himself.

Peterson is now on the other side of 30 years old and many will feel that he’s not the star player that he once was, but he could still have a lot to offer in his career.

That career including eight straight trips to the Pro Bowl, a streak that was finally snapped last year. He also has 28 career interceptions and nearly 100 pass deflections.

Even at 30 years old, he is going to draw the No.1 receiver on the opponent’s team. If he were to come to Denver, a move many have dreamed of over the years, he would easily be the biggest name at the cornerback position.

Can you imagine a secondary that included Peterson, Justin Simmons and a rookie with a world of potential such as Patrick Surtain or Caleb Farley? That could be the start of something great.

This move would cost the Broncos though as Spotrac predicts a potential salary for Peterson next year could be north of $11 million annually.
