3. Offense dynamic changes with Phillip Lindsay

It’s been brutal for the offense that Phillip Lindsay has only played one half of football with the Denver Broncos in 2020.

Lindsay is a catalyst for so much in the Denver offense, even just in a general sense. He’s a big-play threat, and worked all offseason at improving his craft as a receiver.

In some ways, Lindsay being out for the majority of the first four games has been a blessing in disguise. Melvin Gordon has been able to really acclimate himself to the Broncos and establish his role on the team.

With that said, the offense is so much more dynamic with Lindsay in it, and Pat Shurmur had intentions of using he and Gordon together on the field at the same time for certain packages to keep defenses off balance.

The Broncos need Lindsay’s speed out there to keep defenses honest, and their running game really needs the jolt that only he can bring.

Lindsay is a tough runner between the tackles, and can help Melvin Gordon wear defenses down.

Both in terms of the run game and passing game, Lindsay’s return to the field is going to be massive for the Broncos.
