Considering the health status of the Jets’ offensive linemen and Sam Darnold’s propensity for seeing ghosts on the field, you had to think there was a good chance this could be a launching point for the Astronaut himself.

Chubb finished the game against the Jets with five tackles, 2.5 sacks, and five quarterback hits. There were a couple of ‘gimme’ plays for Chubb, but he’s earned the nice statistical night with his physical, tough play.

Chubb looked a lot more like the guy we saw in 2018 in this game, regardless of the competition he faced.

After making some nice plays all throughout the game both against the run and pass, Chubb came around the edge on a fourth-down play late in the game to really finish the Jets off.

To see Chubb winning with speed and whipping a tackle like that on a crucial down is absolutely tremendous.
