7. Justin Simmons revenge game

In the first week of the season against the Tennessee Titans, Justin Simmons didn’t quite play the game everyone had hoped.

In fact, he might not have even been the best Simmons on the field with the way Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons played against the Broncos last week.

With that said, as much as Simmons didn’t live up to high expectations in week one, he definitely met and even exceeded them against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Simmons looked every bit the part of a big-money safety in this game against the Steelers, racking up eight tackles, coming up with a key tackle for a loss, and defending two passes, including an interception he snatched out of the air with one hand.

It was the type of performance Denver Broncos fans have come to expect from the star safety Simmons, who teamed up with Kareem Jackson for a pair of takeaways in this game.

The Broncos will need Simmons to continue affecting games like this if they are going to have sustained success, especially with Drew Lock out a couple of weeks.
