5. Plans for all three rookie WR draft picks

When the Denver Broncos used a seventh-round pick on Florida wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland after using their top two picks on Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler, pretty much all of Broncos Country reacted with a collective, huh?

Cleveland was a tremendous special teams player at Florida and with his combination of size, length, athleticism, and ability to contribute in the third phase, he’s quite frankly the perfect type of player to invest a seventh-round pick in.

The Broncos are going to feature Jerry Jeudy in the offense, and while Cleveland may not be featured there, he’s gotten some work with the top offense to keep him ready throughout camp.

The Broncos obviously have high hopes for KJ Hamler when he comes back from injury as well, but it’s great to see the team has plans for all three of their draft picks at the wide receiver position, a position group that has gotten a massive makeover from last season.

In addition to keeping all three of their 2020 picks, the Broncos also still kept both of their 2018 picks in Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton, as well as Tim Patrick and Diontae Spencer.

The wide receiver room is pretty loaded heading into the season and more depth will certainly be added to the practice squad on Sunday.
