CB Bryce Callahan

Among the players that are returning to the Broncos for another season is cornerback Bryce Callahan. Unfortunately, Callahan has not been able to play a single meaningful down for the team since signing as a free agent from Chicago last year.

Callahan was injured in a training camp practice last year, getting his foot stepped on. He had to have multiple surgeries, including one to replace a screw that got bent. He ended up being placed on injured reserve.

However, now he is ready to go.

It is easy to forget about a player who has yet to play a down for the team. But it is a good idea to keep your focus on the player who is expected to be a key defensive piece for the Broncos in 2020. Hopefully, he does not suffer some crazy injury like he did last year and is able to perform the way the Broncos hoped he would.

Callahan strived in Chicago with Vic Fangio as his defensive coordinator and I fully expect him to live up to those expectations throughout his Broncos career. He is just 28-years old and has plenty to give to the Broncos on the field.
