2019 unit (projected)

CB2: Kareem Jackson
CB3: Bryce Callahan

S: Will Parks
Top reserve: Isaac Yiadom (CB)

In hindsight, the Broncos’ 2018 defensive backfield was pathetic. It was even worse when Harris went down with an injury.

Pacman Jones basically was signed off the street and immediately became the Broncos’ no. 3 corner and punt returner. What a terrible decision.

Regardless of what position these guys play to start this year, I think these will be the top six defensive backs on the depth chart to start the year.

Kareem Jackson was the Broncos’ first signing of the free agent negotiating period, signing a three-year contract worth $33 million. Bryce Callahan followed as the team’s top second wave signing, coming in on another three-year deal worth $21 million.

Chris Harris Jr. had some money added to his deal and the Broncos will count on Isaac Yiadom more in year two. This unit is greatly improved with Will Parks hopefully taking on a bigger role, and Jackson/Callahan coming in to take the snaps left behind by Bradley Roby and Darian Stewart.
