1. Quarterback

2018 unit (all QBs)

QB1: Case Keenum
QB2: Chad Kelly/Kevin Hogan
QB3: Paxton Lynch

2019 unit

QB1: Joe Flacco
QB2: Kevin Hogan
QB3: Drew Lock
QB4: Brett Rypien

By trading for Joe Flacco and drafting Drew Lock, the Broncos have given themselves the best QB room they have had in the post-Peyton Manning era by far.

They replaced a journeyman starter in Case Keenum with a former Super Bowl MVP and replaced their void in the developmental QB department with a legitimate prospect at the position.

Drew Lock is easily the best prospect Elway has had in his time as Broncos GM (Tebow, Osweiler, Lynch included), and he was so lucky to get him where he did it can’t have been luck at all.

Throw in the fact that the Broncos also got a player I thought could have been a fourth-round pick in Brett Rypien, and not only do you have an established veteran, you have a legitimate prospect and another promising prospect.
