Did you expect any other comeback to be at this point on the list? The famous AFC Championship Game in 1987 pitted the Cleveland Browns against the Denver Broncos.
If there is one drive that can define the G.O.A.T. status of John Elway in the Denver Broncos organization, it is this game here. With five minutes to go in the game, the Cleveland Browns were up 20-13.
Thanks to a botched punt return, the Denver Broncos and John Elway needed to go 98 yards in order to tie the game against the Browns. The way that Elway orchestrated that drive was a thing of pure beauty.
There were plenty of chances during that drive that would have given the game to the Cleveland Browns. But John Elway never gave up. The fire inside was especially strong that day.

The Drive ended when John Elway completed a pass to Mark Jackson to score the touchdown that would tie the game. A field goal by Rich Karlis in overtime sealed the deal. And the Denver Broncos would complete a comeback of epic proportions and punch their ticket to Super Bowl 21.
John Elway has proven time in and time out with his comebacks that a game that involves Elway is not over until the final gun.
