The Denver Broncos are the worst-coached team in the NFL

4. Too little, too late

Far too many times this season, the Broncos have waited until it was too late to make certain decisions.

The decision to pull Trevor Siemian came a few weeks too late.

The decision to get Isaiah McKenzie off of the punt return team (whenever it comes) will be too late.

The Broncos have been loyal to certain players to a fault, and for no apparent reason. In any other sport, if players are playing well or literally costing your team victories, they get pulled.

This Denver team has been far too patient with guys that don’t necessarily deserve it. Siemian and McKenzie are a couple of examples, but how long were we going to watch Menelik Watson struggle at right tackle before he was pulled or an alternate solution was brought to the table?

The Broncos found out against the Patriots — too late — to just kick the ball out of the end zone. They allowed a kick return touchdown to Dion Lewis.

The ball travels out of the end zone on every kick in Denver, so it was intentionally kicked in play so Lewis could return it.

Too late!

The Broncos have not yet decided to stop returning kicks out of the end zone, giving them some of the worst starting field position in the league today.

Everything is too little, too late for this team. That, to me, is indicative of poor coaching and certainly a lack of execution.
