The Denver Broncos are the worst-coached team in the NFL

3. Lack of fire

It’s easy to see that the Broncos are not playing with the same fire they did early in the season.

As the offense started to really struggle, the defense took on a burden it simply could not carry. A 21-0 shutout loss against the Los Angeles Chargers was really the first game where I think the defense knew it was going to have to do way more than it could this season in order to make up for the ineptitude of the offense.

As the offense continued to struggle to score points or even hold onto the football, it became tougher and tougher for the defense to hold teams to a reasonable number on the scoreboard.

Against the Philadelphia Eagles, it looked like no one even really wanted to play. The Broncos have allowed nearly 100 points in their past two games, and while the defense isn’t completely to blame for that, they do not look like the same group of guys that is capable of taking over and dominating a game.
