3. The offensive line is still under construction

There should be a lot of yellow caution tape around the Broncos’ offensive line at training camp in a few weeks, because the offensive line is under construction.

Ronald Leary was the team’s big money free agent pickup in the offseason, and Garett Bolles was drafted in the first round to be the Broncos’ left tackle. At last we left the Broncos in OTAs, Bolles was still running with the second team and Leary was forced to move from left guard to right guard because Max Garcia needed to move back to the left side, where he’s more effective.

That’s not exactly a great sign at this point in the offseason, but at least they figured it out now.

The Broncos are also breaking in a new right tackle in Menelik Watson, and could have issues at center if Matt Paradis doesn’t recover in time for camp from his double hip surgery.

We could see the Broncos open training camp with a starting five that will be completely different from the starting five we see trotting out there for the season opener.

The Broncos won the Super Bowl with a worse (talent-wise) group of offensive linemen, but this is still something to monitor closely.
