Jared Odrick is a move that would make all the sense in the world for the Broncos.  He is a savy veteran who excels in pass rushing.  However, he can still play the 3-tech inside and is good against the run.  The Broncos are always looking for depth along the offensive line.  One of the most underrated aspects of the 2015 Super Bowl defense was the depth they had on the defensive line.  Malik Jackson was fantastic that year, but it certainly helped having Vance Walker spell him often to keep him fresh.

Odrick is a pure depth move at this point.  He is coming off a year in which he only played in six games due to various injuries.  This, along with a very healthy salary are the two reasons he was released from the Jaguars.  However it’s the injuries that have kept him unsigned to this point.

Odrick isn’t going to come in and be a three down player, but Broncos don’t necessarily need that.  They have improved the depth this year already by adding Kerr who they are hoping is the next Vance Walker.  They also like Domata Peko’s ability to be a true NT in their defense as well.  With Malik Jackson gone last year, Sylvester Williams struggled mightily—a big reason he is no longer here.  The Broncos are also very high on their 2016 second round pick Adam Gotsis.  Add Odrick to these players, along with Derek Wolfe and some sightings of Jared Crick and DeMarcus Walker, and the Broncos will find themselves with one of the deepest defensive lines in all of football.
