This is the last chronicle of observations from Training Camp, as they close it for the public from here on out. Broncos today, practiced with the San Francisco 49ers and will continue until they play on Saturday. The team showed tremendous depth even against another team, solidifying them as one of the deepest in the National Football League.

Cody Latimer has distanced himself in camp as the number three receiver on the Broncos. Latimer is the likely choice, but given the history of his last couple years the question remained. The injury to Bennie Fowler opened the door to that chance and it was up to Latimer to take full advantage. Maybe, his most recent comments about the pressure of playing with Peyton Manning are true, as we repeatedly see a different Latimer in camp.

This defense is good. Really good. Darius Kilgo and Chirs Harris stated the Orange Rush and No Fly Zone could be even better than it was last year, which is a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks. If the Broncos have a defense remotely close to last year’s Broncos will repeat as Super Bowl champions. In the scrimmage today in camp with the 49ers Broncos showed off their incredible depth from the cornerback position, as well as linebackers.

The quickness of Emmanuel Sanders makes an intriguing number two or number one wide out in the NFL. By all accounts, Sanders was the main target for the Broncos last year, but it reinforces the depth and dynamic duo the team has on the roster. Sanders have been lightning bolts throughout camp on go routes and the intermediate throws to move the sticks. Do not think that will change once the opener comes around.

Let’s get to the observations and hot takes from today.
