How much do you think the offensive line will be impacted with the season-ending injury of Hroniss Grassu?

Grassu’s injury exposes some depth concerns along the Bears offensive line, but I don’t think it’s a death blow. Consider that all five spots along the line will feature new people from last year’s opening day line with only Kyle Long returning, but sliding back inside to right guard. Ted Larsen is the “next man up” to hold down Grassu’s spot at center.

His loss is probably tougher on the line’s development as a unit. You hate to see a second year player, who the team deems as an ascending player, to lose a season. Grassu struggled a bit as a rookie but all reports indicate he had a good offseason and added some much needed weight. The line will be a work in progress this season and I hope that they can settle on their best five to start building some continuity through the preseason heading into the September 11th season opener.
