Kicker- Brandon McManus

All I can say about Brandon McManus is what a difference one year can make. After signing with the Denver Broncos in 2014 and winning the job, things went south big time.

While he has a powerful leg, his accuracy was horrid and he missed a lot of field goals. It was so bad that the Broncos opted to go for it on fourth down if they were in that spot where punting wouldn’t help and not short enough in McManus’ range.

Something improved with him though in the 2015 season and we saw it in training camp last year. He booted a 70 yarder during practice and ended up beating Connor Barth for the starting job. In 2015, McManus would only miss two field goals the entire season, making him one of the most accurate kickers in 2015.

He would follow that up in the postseason where he made all ten of his field goals during the playoffs. Quite a turnaround. He has no competition in camp this season, so this job is his to lose while the Denver Broncos are in the dog days of summer.
