Defensive Tackle

Sylvester Williams

Another player that had a solid year, Sylvester Williams has had some unproductive seasons in Denver and knew he had to perform in 2015 if he had any shot of staying with the Broncos for the long haul. However, his fifth year option was not exercised this offseason and is entering a contract year in 2016.

If there was one thing that impressed me with Williams, it is his abilities to stop the run. His numbers may not be flashy throughout his career, but he can make that big play when it matters most.

This season will be a big test for Sly. I do think he has a golden opportunity in front of him since Malik Jackson left in free agency to become part of something bigger. He can play an even bigger part on the defensive line.

He improved greatly last season. But he will need to repeat that season and perhaps go the extra mile. I believe that he can do that with no doubt at all.
