Defensive End (2)

Derek Wolfe

I believe that a lot underestimate what Derek Wolfe can do for this defense. His abilities to stop the run and get to the quarterback are phenomenal and the strange thing is that no one is really talking about his presence in the defense.

This past season was a career year for Wolfe despite missing the first four games of the 2015 season due to suspension. He recorded 49 tackles and 5.5 sacks. Not to mention that he was able to establish himself as one of the best run defenders in the NFL.

He was awarded the AFC Defensive Player of the Week Honors after his performance against the Green Bay Packers in Week 8. His performance in 2015 earned him a new four year deal.

There is no doubt that Derek Wolfe will continue his trend on the Denver Broncos defense as the run stuffer and occasional quarterback nightmare.

Vance Walker

With Von Miller signing his new deal last Friday, the biggest question now is who will replace Malik Jackson’s production on the defensive line? It most certainly will not be easy. Perhaps the guy to attempt it going into training camp is Vance Walker.

Walker had a pretty solid season in his first year with the Denver Broncos. He could be the most logical choice for the team in 2016 due to his experience. However, this position could be up for grabs during training camp.

I think Vance Walker has the best chance to win the job. But I would not be surprised if Jared Crick pushes for the job as well. Walker has proven this season that he is a solid bet for the defensive line. I’m interested to see how he performs in a contract year.
