Emmanuel Sanders is the best candidate to sign a contract extension before the season has started.

Recently, the Broncos and Sanders have exchanged proposals; however, due to the team now signing Von Miller, the Broncos will now focus on extended Sanders. Averaging 1,270 yards a season in his short time with the Broncos, Sanders has embraced the culture of the team making him an instant fan favorite.

Sanders has emerged as the number one target the last two years for the franchise since Demaryius Thomas has had a down year last season. A four-year deal worth just north of $40 million with close to $20 million in guarantees will get the deal done in my opinion.

In this NFL, Sanders as a number one receiver is a tad shocking because of the brand of physical receivers in the league today, but the versatility of Sanders to play anywhere on the field will serve him well in the future. If the Broncos groom Bennie Fowler as a number two receiver, the Broncos could move Sanders to the slot making him more explosive in my opinion.

The Broncos, in a perfect world, would love to have Marshall, Miler and Sanders signed in one offseason. We will see what the Broncos do with Training Camp starting soon. But Sanders is the number one target for the franchise before the season starts.
