5. Derek Wolfe

Derek Wolfe was suspended to start last season, and the Broncos were still dominant defensively in his absence, but something clicked for him in the second half of last year.

The Broncos started to see the Wolfe they drafted out of Cincinnati in 2012, a player who was absolutely dominant as an interior defensive lineman and someone who could rush the passer incredibly well.

They liked what they saw from Wolfe so much that they signed him to a big contract extension before the year ended, and he went on to have a dominant playoff performance.

The Broncos had to know that signing Wolfe meant the end of Malik Jackson in Denver, and they were okay with that. Wolfe notched basically a sack per game from week 11 through the Super Bowl.
