The Jets were right there last year, just one bad quarter away from their first playoff birth since 2010.  Poor Brandon Marshall; how many times in his career has he been on a good team that just couldn’t make it to the playoffs?  Now the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets can’t seem to come to an agreement with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, who had a career year when he was reunited with his former offensive coordinator Chan Gailey.  My guess is would be Fitzy resigns either right before mandatory mini-camp, or right before training camp.  As poor as the offer is for a quarterback that just had the season he had (in comparison with what Kirk Cousins and Brock Osweiler made this offesason), I assume he still would rather play football and make $8-10 million, then retire due to pride.  If he isn’t signed, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker fly to his house and pick him up, the same way the Vikings did in Brett Favre’s final season.  I can’t see it not getting done, and the Jets not being competitive in the AFC.  Of course, they still have the Patriots to deal with, but Brady is slated to miss the first four games.  Maybe this is their year?
