Despite setting career highs in virtually every major category last season (might not be saying much, but…), Ronnie Hillman has still been the subject of ridicule and projected roster cuts.

It’s his own fault as a contract year player having had two pretty disastrous seasons to start off his NFL career, but he’s still extremely young. Hillman is — without question — the Broncos’ fastest running back. He’s also the smallest. He has potential for a lot of big plays in an offense that will get him out on the perimeter and off-tackle plenty, so I don’t think we should write Hillman off just yet.

We’ll need to get a better look at him in this offense over the course of training camp and the pre-season. Every snap is going to be huge for him.
