With so much change in Broncos Country, is this the perfect time for the Denver Broncos to update their uniforms sometime in the near future?

Times are changing. Long time Bronco Gary Kubiak is gone, Vance Joseph is in. Long time Bronco Wade Phillips is gone, Joe Woods is now the man leading the vaunted defense. Even Steve “Greek” Antonopulos will no longer be seen running onto the field to tend to injured players. With so much changing in the organization, could it be time to make a change to the uniforms?

Since 1960, the Broncos have taken the field in primarily two uniforms. Yes, there have been throwback uniforms featuring the brown and yellow uniforms. However for the most part it has been the orange and blue with some changes here and there. Now don’t get me wrong. I would be one of the first people in line to hang whoever changed the orange and blue if that happened. No, what I am suggesting is maybe just a slight tweak of the current uniforms.

Some of Nike’s uniform changes have been really good. (Detroit’s new uniforms come to mind)

However, there have been some bad changes. (looking at you Jacksonville)

When the Broncos rolled out the current version of their uniforms back in 1997, people saw them as radical and sort of crazy looking. No one had used a secondary color up the side of the jersey before in the NFL. The stripe on the pant leg was completely different from what anyone had used. The logo was a complete change from the old. Who designed those uniforms then? That’s right, Nike.

It’s been 20 years since that change with only switching to an orange home jersey as any change in that time. Again, I’m not calling for a change on the level of say Tampa Bay or Cleveland. Honestly I have been a fan of the current orange home jersey. And I think the white road uniforms are clean and sharp-looking.

But fans have had some pretty good ideas. One fan in particular made some incredibly detailed uniforms that look pretty darn nice. So what are your thoughts Broncos Country? Do you think Denver should update their uniforms? Or do you think they’re perfect as they are? Let me know what you think in the comments!
