Preseason Week 1: 5 Denver Broncos Who Earned Their Spurs

Denver Broncos football has finally returned, and with aplomb. In week 1 of preseason action, the Denver Broncos defeated the Seattle Seahawks 21-16, in a Super Bowl rematch.
I paid close attention to the Broncos’ tone and attitude throughout the game. Following the flat Super Bowl performance last February, I was curious to see if the team would adopt a nastier approach.
They didn’t let me down. From 1st string, to 3rd string, the Broncos played smash-mouth football, on both sides of the ball.
The flow of the game was impeded not only by a 45 minute lightning delay, but also by an officiating crew who thought it was laundry day.
However, we saw standout performances from some established veterans, as well as some new faces, fighting for a roster spot. Let’s take a look at 5 Broncos who earned their spurs tonight.
