Many wondered how Peyton Manning would react, following what many would call a disappearing act in the Super Bowl, in the Broncos’ preseason matchup vs the Seahawks. I’m happy to say that he looked like the same old Sheriff. Going 10/13 for 78 yards, Manning was sharp and decisive. Although he took a couple of minor hits, including one where Michael Bennett dove for his legs (in a preseason game), the return of left tackle, Ryan Clady, was very evident. The pocket was clean and Manning had time to make his reads and throws. It looks like moving Orlando Franklin inside to left guard is going to pay off, too, as there was zero interior pressure.
