Will Linebacker. Denver Broncos. Danny Trevathan. 59. player. 45.
Height: 6-1

Weight: 240

When the Broncos drafted Danny Trevathan in the sixth round of the 2012 draft, he went unnoticed among the Broncos draft picks. Despite going unnoticed he has become a steal in that draft.

His rookie season he played a limited role on the defense, but he managed to show enough to get a bigger role the following season. Wesley Woodyard was moved from his “Will” linebacker position to middle linebacker and Trevathan was thrust into the starting role. In his new role, he didn’t disappoint. Per PFF, Trevathan graded out with a positive 7.2 overall grade, sixth best among 4-3 OLBs.

Trevathan has become a great player for the Broncos and a stable on their defense. As the season went on, he became the shot caller. Despite a bad, injury filled 2013 defensive campaign for the Broncos, Trevathan was one shinning bright spot. He showed growth that you don’t see often among sixth round draft picks. For the 2014 season Trevathan will continue manning the “Will” linebacker position on the Broncos 53 man regular season roster.
