player. 45.
Height: 6-1

Weight: 245

When Nate Irving was drafted, some considered him to be the best LB in the 2011 draft. His college career was filled with ups and downs, with one of the downs being a car crash. He was able to bounce back and get drafted in the third round by the Broncos.

Irving has had a hard time cracking the starting lineup for the Broncos. He has been given multiple chances at MLB only to lose out to Joe Mays and Keith Brooking. The Broncos then moved him to “Sam” linebacker position behind Von Miller in 2013. He started 4 games during the season and in the playoffs for a hurt Von Miller. He played well in that time. His best game just so happened to be the Broncos worst. He was one of the few players who showed up and played start to finish in the Super Bowl. He struggles in pass coverage, but in the Super Bowl he was in nice position one what would’ve been a touchdown pass, to break it up. That was before the game got way out of hand.

With his starting experience and showing signs of improvement, he is getting another shot at MLB. During the offseason he has worked with the defensive first unit as the “Mike” linebacker. He is a two down thumper who has shown improvements in the passing game. He will no doubt make the roster, but odds are he will be the starter as well. Hopefully Irving will be the one who stops the call of “WILSON”.
. Mike Linebacker. Denver Broncos. Nate Irving. 56
