In what might go down as one of the games of the year in the 2026 NFL Season, the Denver Broncos were shut out in the first half by the Los Angeles Rams. And, in typical Broncos fashion, something we're used to seeing, the Broncos managed to score 30 total points in the second half to seal the deal.
The Broncos can never make it simple, but the team is now on a two-game winning streak after getting blown out in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos got three total touchdowns from quarterback Bo Nix, but, perhaps just as importantly, got two interceptions from Talanoa Hufanga.
Yes, that Hufanga, the one who dropped about 10 of them in 2025...

For much of 2025, Hufanga legitimately dealt with not being able to haul in almost-interceptions. There isnt an 'official' stat for almost-interceptions, but many Broncos fans who watched the games last year saw how many he dropped.
Hufanga was still very good for the team in 2025, and it's honestly fitting that his first interception with the Broncos was not only in a big game, but a pick-six at that:

This gave the Broncos the lead for a little bit before Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and the offense responded right back. Nix and the Broncos offense responded back with a touchdown of their own, and on the final play of the game, where the Rams had to take a shot in the end zone, Hufanga came down with his second interception:

The way this works out is kind of hilarious. Hufanga can do a bit of everything at the safety position, and we saw that last year with the Broncos. He actually earned second-team All-Pro honors, perhaps flying under the radar a bit, as he was so good the entire year but didn't seem to get quite as much attention as he deserved.
Now with two interceptions, perhaps this can be a time where Hufanga, for lack of a better term, can see the ball go into the hoop. The Broncos did struggle with not being able to force enough turnovers last year, so being able to get two interceptions off of a future Hall of Famer in Stafford is outstanding.
The Broncos needed each of Hufanga's picks, and now move to 2-1 on the season with two huge wins over Jacksonville and Los Angeles.
