The Denver Broncos are the most frustrating but lovable team in the NFL. For those in Broncos Country, the way this team goes about their business is baffling at times. The Broncos looked overwhelmed in the first half, but flipped a switch in the second half, because of course they did.
This is even more true for Bo Nix, as he and the offense just looked... bad to begin the game and throughout the first half. They ended the first half of play with 67 total yards of offense, but still managed to put up 30 total points.
And, once again, Nix himself proved to the NFL world why he's not only a franchise quarterback, but one of the better franchise QBs in the league.

Funnily enough, Nix only completed 50 percent of his passes, but he totaled three touchdowns, all in the second half, and came in the clutch more times than not. We seem to have this conversation after every close Broncos win, especially after slow starts.
I guess at some point, we'll have to simply accept it and talk about something else, but when the going gets tough, Nix plays his best. We almost see this weekly at this point, as we saw it play out so many times in 2025 and even into the playoffs against the Buffalo Bills.
The Broncos have lost just three home games in the Nix era, as they have now won two games in a row against the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Rams. Nix outdueled both Trevor Lawrence and Matthew Stafford when it mattered the most, too.
We can have some conversations about why this team continues to do, nearly, the same exact thing every single win, but this is one to enjoy. The Los Angeles Rams are, arguably, the most talented team in the NFL, so this shouldn't just be looked at as a win. This is a major, major win.
The Broncos now wrap up the month of September 2-1, and it's the first time in the Sean Payton era that the Broncos are over .500 in the first month of the year. For Nix, he continues to prove himself time and time again. The doubters get louder, but the play gets better and better.
Nix totaled three touchdowns in the win, including two touchdown passes and what turned into be the game-winning touchdown on a QB sneak late in the fourth quarter.
