Round 6, No. 209 overall: Isaac Guerendo, RB, Louisville

There are some intriguing late-round running backs in the late rounds of this draft and this pick could be made with some recency bias, but the combination of Isaac Guerendo's size and his combine-best for running backs 4.33 40-yard dash, he is a player the Broncos should bring aboard.

Guerendo was seen by most as an undrafted free agent in this class but after that blazing 40-yard dash, that is not likely. The Broncos have Javonte Williams, Samaje Perine and Jaleel McLaughlin but adding Guerendo to that mix, where he could be brought along slowly, would be a good move.

The hope will be that Williams is more explosive in 2024 than he was in 2023 where he'll be two years removed from a torn ACL, but he won't be a guy who gets 20+ carries per game often, if ever again in his career.

Perine was great as a pass-catcher for the team and McLaughlin did a little bit of everything, shining often when his number was called, but making this offense more dynamic should be a priority.

Guerendo runs with a combination of power and speed that should be quite intriguing to Sean Payton and the front office and he also offers an option as a receiver out of the backfield.

This pick would complete what would be a terrific Broncos draft.
